No, I won’t be at BEA this year, but what I can do is let you know which books from BEA I’d LOVE to have in my beach bag. The happy news is that I WILL be at ALA in June, so there’s a strong possibility these books could make their way into my seaside tote if they happen to make their way to ALA…

Those of you going to BEA, I hope you have an utterly fabulous time and return with the books you are hoping for. I’m looking forward to encountering some of these same titles in June at ALA, so here’s to all the anticipation and excitement!!

As usual, this weekly meme is hosted by The Broke and Bookish. Be sure to link up each week so we can visit your Top Ten!

(drumroll) Here are the books…

12 Comments on #TopTenTuesday: Ten Books I’d Like To Have In My Beach Bag From BEA

  1. Fun spin on the topic, Katie! I think there’s a good chance you will find these titles at ALA- crossing fingers for you. Fates and Furies and Goodbye Stranger caught my eye. Happy beach reading!

  2. I really want to read Passenger it sounds like such a great book! Lovely picks here for this topic πŸ™‚ Here’s my TT if you would like to check it out πŸ™‚ Have a great day!

  3. Ahhh, so many of these are on my list too. (Illuminae! Rae Carson! The Marvels! Passenger! Fates and Furies! Give me all the books, please.) Anyway, I hope I find some of these at BEA, and that all of the ones you want make their way to ALA, too.

I really, really want Illuminae. Give me a book with a weird narrative structure and I’m sold.

    • Fingers are crossed for you that you find them there! I’m simply dying for that new Brian Selznick book….there are stars in my eyes at another book from him! I hope you have a wonderful time and can’t wait to hear more/see pics. Illuminae looks beyond awesome–I’m with you–I love books that have different narrative structures. And what I’ve heard from people that have read it is that it’s fabulous. So I have high hopes! πŸ˜€

  4. Walk on Earth a Stanger sounds so amazing!! I would love the opportunity to attend a book event. Unfortunately, there isn’t much going on in my city. Someday I will have to make a special trip :).

  5. ALA sounds fun! Hopefully some of the books will overlap between the two events. I’m not going to BEA either *sighs* But there’s always next year which I’m definitely counting on going to. <3

I have been hearing an insane amount of hype about Illuminae and Truthwitch, but I seriously have no idea what either's about! Lol. Ooh, I am looking forward to The Rest Of Us Just Live Here though, I haven't heard of the others you listed. πŸ™

Oh wait! I have heard about Passenger! That one sounds pretty interesting.

I'm not going to ALA either. *sighs* Which is totally okay! πŸ™‚ I'm pretty okay with it (that's what I tell myself). Lol.

  6. A giant YES to Walk on Earth a Stranger and Passenger. I love historical fiction and Rae Carson’s writing, so I cannot wait for Walk on Earth. And Passenger sounds really good and has a gorgeous cover!

  7. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo would’ve been on my list, but alas I wan’t able to get to a TTT this week. I hope you find all the books your hoping for at ALA.
